True Love

Tomorrow is a day where most of the world focuses on the love a person has for his/her spouse or family. Truly I feel so blessed to have a spouse that seeks to please God with every fiber of his being. He exceeds every dream I ever had for a Godly husband.

I am drawn this year to think of the love that God has for us. During my bible reading I came across a few scriptures that REALLY stirred my heart to meditate on the love God has for us. So I thought I would share a few of these scriptures with you as well.I'm not going to write much more...the scriptures can speak for themselves. I pray they stir your heart to meditate on God's love for you this Valentine's Day.

Romans 5:6-8---"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own LOVE for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 8:35, 38-39---"Who shall separate us from the LOVE of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who LOVED us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

John 3:16-17-- "For God so LOVED the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

1 John 4:9-11---" This is how God showed his LOVE among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is LOVE: not that we LOVED God, but that he LOVED us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so LOVED us, we also ought to LOVE one another. "
